Course DescriptionThis class is an overview of some of the ancient world cultures and their contributions to the modern world. We will study early humans, Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China, Greece and Rome.
We will use common core elements of technology integration, multiple methods, comprehension/application of non-fiction sources, academic student discourse, collaborative practice and claims supported by evidence. We will also have a skills focus for each chapter in addition to history content standards focus. Skills will range from note taking skills to writing skills. Skills taught will be an expected learning objective for mastery and will be assessed. |

Students will need to print work from time to time, in addition to using the internet for resources. It is helpful to have at home..... *Internet Access *Printer with Ink If you do not have internet access please the main office know and the district has been able to help with gaining internet access. If you do not have printing capability at home, the school library allows printing of school work at a minimal charge and so does the Hercules city library. |
